Collegiate (3-0) @ Andale (2-1)
Despite being the defending state champion in Class 3A, Collegiate has managed to turn a few heads this season with their fast start, extending their winning streak to 17-games. The Spartans offense has been nearly unstoppable behind sophomore quarterback Markus Phox who is averaging 168.7 yards through the air and 111.0 on the ground. Andale, which was the top-ranked team in Class 4A going into last week, was on the losing end of the biggest upset last week in a 31-8 loss to previously winless Rose Hill. The Indians will look to bounce back this week behind the strong legs of Jake Hattabaugh who leads the team averaging 160 yards on the ground.

Fiegelism of the week:
Q: What do you think we need to know about the new league, and what words of wisdom do you have regarding it?
A: The thing to remember is that if we don't make a successful run in the new league, it's done, it's over. We need to make this work for the right reasons.

August 2010

'That was a memorable day to me, for it made great changes in me.
But, it is the same with any life. Imagine one day struck out of it and think
how different its course would have been. Pause, you who read this,
and think for a long moment of the long chain of iron or gold, of thorns
or flowers, that never would have bound you, but for the formation of the first link
on that memorable day.'
